(Indian) Ocean 14

No, it's not a sequel to the 2007 heist comedy film.
It’s about the course I’m currently attending.

Previously, I wrote about how I ended up in Canberra—yet another city I never imagined myself living in. But here I am, surrounded by friends from across the Indian Ocean region.

This program is sponsored by the Australian Border Force College in collaboration with the Australian National University. Officially named the Graduate Certificate of Law, it’s a postgraduate program at ANU’s College of Law. Designed for graduates from non-law disciplines, it provides a deeper understanding of Australian and international legal systems and serves as a pathway to the Master of Laws (LLM). The program was specifically offered to participants from Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives—collectively recognized by the ABF as Indian Ocean Region Maritime Security Partners.

And so, here we are—14 individuals from diverse backgrounds, delving into international law and maritime law.
